Looking to form post-punk/indie rock band

Hello! My name is Aidan (26 y/o; he/him; fully vaccinated & boosted) and I am a musician/songwriter located in Capitol Hill. I am looking to meet some awesome people who are interested in writing music and playing shows! Guitar has been my main instrument for over 15 years, but I also sing and have written and released music as a solo project, as well as with a separate band. I am mainly interested in starting a band that has a indie rock/post-punk sound (think Interpol, Fontaines D.C., Arctic Monkeys, 80s new-wave-ish), but am open to all genres of music and love finding influences in everything and anything. I am imagining the band to be two guitars, bass, drums, and vocals (with backup vocals if needed). I have a decent knowledge of mixing and production, as well as a few mics. I have a car so I am totally up for commuting for the sake of making music. Having good chemistry, open and clear communication, and being aware of social location is really important to me and I would like to make music with those that share similar ideas. I think it is important to communicate creative ideas in a kind and productive manner, especially when it comes to something as personal and meaningful as making music.
