Shrimp & Grits and a history lesson all in one class! Meet Captain Woody Collins, author of "Where have all the Shrimp Boats Gone?" Captain Woody Collins is retired from the shrimping industry after a lifetime at sea. His vast knowledge of the shrimping industry is now put into one book "Where Have All The Shrimp Boats Gone?" Covering over 100 years, this book tells an insiders history of a segment of Lowcountry life that few have heard. Captain Woody will be with us at The Cook's Station with stories of those times. He will also be bringing in some fresh shrimp to share with you how the men on those shrimp boats prepared the best shrimp and grits your mouth has ever tasted. Know we will be taking all precautions regarding COVID-19 during the classes. Kitchen is completely sanitized before each class, gloves will be used when preparing food. Hand washing stations are located throughout kitchen. You will enjoy a meal of shrimp and grits along with two glasses of wine and other beverages. Class participants will receive 20% off in-store purchases the day of class (some exclusions may apply) Please be prepared with your ID at check-in if you wish to have wine during your class.
