Description
We have a 5 year old banana ball python we call "Steak the snake" that we've had his whole life. He was originally bought from Aquarium Depot on Auburn Blvd in Sacramento.
He has always been really healthy
eats well - he eats live mice or small rats and has always been fed outside of his enclosure in a tupperware type container-
sheds well - just shed about a week ago -
we had to move recently and he is not allowed at our new home..
He is my teen daughters pet snake and he is never hissed at us or never tried to bite anyone. Lots of kids and strangers hold him. He is a pretty big guy at least 1.5 feet long
Im devastated we have to even re-home him he is such an amazing 🐍
He loves to be held
Goes outside on walks and shops with us often likes the car
We will be giving his enclosure away with him as well (I think its big enough for him to permanently live in)
I do believe in a more natural enclosure but mites can be iffy with new wood and substrate so all of his tank has been treated for mites. Anything new can be cooked in oven or sprayed with prevento-mite- to ensure its not going to give him any mites -we heard they were a real bitch to deal with when we bought him-
He has a heating pad a rock on one side cool area on other
He will however need a new light source.
Asking 200 for him and his setup
(we paid 350 for him another 150+ for enclosure)
Am hoping to find a home for him with kids that are interested in reptiles.. He will fit in well with a active household is used to dogs and other pets. He even swims with us in the kids pool in summer lol
