Press release from the City of Ankeny: May 17, 2022 The City of Ankeny will close SE Oralabor Road, from SE Windover Drive to SE Hulsizer Road/SE Rio Drive, beginning at 9 p.m., Wednesday, May 18 until 6 a.m., Thursday, May 19, weather permitting. A marked detour route will be available using South Ankeny Boulevard, East First Street and SE Delaware Avenue. This closure is part of the High Trestle Trail Extension project and is necessary to pour the concrete deck on the new pedestrian bridge over Oralabor Road. In June, the trail will be paved from SE Magazine Road to the bridge at Oralabor and landscaping will be completed. This new bridge will provide a safe and direct connection from the High Trestle Trail to the Gay Lea Wilson and Oralabor Gateway trails.
