Press release from the Story County Government: May 18, 2022 A draft of the Ames Urban Fringe Plan is now available for public review and comment. The draft and a survey can be found on Story County's website, under Planning and Development and the Ames Urban Fringe Plan (http://www.storycountyiowa.gov/1243/Ames-Urban-Fringe-Plan). The survey will be available until June 14, 2022. In addition, there will be a series of meetings to solicit public input. It provides policies for understanding and predicting future land uses within two miles outside the boundary of the City of Ames.
