A draft of the Ames Urban Fringe Plan is now available for public review and comment. The draft and a survey can be found on Story County's website, under Planning and Development and the Ames Urban Fringe Plan (http://www.storycountyiowa.gov/1243/Ames-Urban-Fringe-Plan). The survey will be available until June 14, 2022.
In addition, there will be a series of meetings to solicit public input.

The Ames Urban Fringe Plan (AUFP) is a cooperative planning effort between the City of Ames, City of Gilbert, and Story County. It provides policies for understanding and predicting future land uses within two miles outside the boundary of the City of Ames. The cooperators are currently working on an update and renewal and invite the public to review a draft and provide comments.
