Learn 4 different methods for growing gourmet mushrooms and
prepare your own mushroom substrate to take home and harvest from later.
Catherine Bindshadler, FDD Wild Mushroom Certified and head mushroom cultivator at Adamah Farm Central Detroit will provide an informational lecture on four different methods for growing a variety of gourmet mushrooms, such as oyster , wine-cap and shitake mushrooms. Attendees will receive hands-on mushroom cultivation instruction, where they will prepare their own mushroom substrate to take home and harvest from in the future.
Ticket price of $100 includes informational lecture, take home material, hands-on workshop, take home mushroom log and a take home mushroom grow kit.
Lunch will be provided.
All proceeds benefit Farmington Hills Church of God missions to Pinares High School in Honduras.
