Press release from Ramsey County Government: May 13, 2022 The board of commissioners has declared May as Asian American and Pacific Islanders Heritage Month in Ramsey County. The proclamation honors the irreplaceable roles of Asian American and Pacific Islanders through economic, social, civic, cultural and other contributions in the county. Ramsey County's population of 80,000 Asian American and Pacific Islanders is the second largest in Minnesota. The board encourages all residents to recognize Asian American and Pacific Islanders as integral to the cultural fabric of the community, and ensure their histories and stories are seen and heard in the county Commissioner Carter read the proclamation with county staff and other community partners offering remarks.
