Description

Press release from the Tuscaloosa County Government: May 18, 2022 School may soon be out for summer, but that doesn't mean our TCSS Child Nutrition Team will stop providing nutritious meals to children in our community! We're excited for the return of our "Break for a Plate" TCSS Summer Meals Program! Through this program, we serve breakfast and lunch weekdays during the summer, at several locations throughout our school system. Meals are free of charge to anyone age 18 and under. A child does not have to be enrolled in our school system to enjoy meals with us. Children must be present to receive a meal. This summer, meals will be served inside our cafeterias, instead of the curbside or mobile meals we have served for the past two years. Eating inside our cafeterias provides social interaction for children and the opportunity to see familiar faces they see throughout the school year! Break for a Plate TCSS 2022 Summer Meals Program Dates: Weekdays, June 6 – July 15 (Locations closed July 4.) Locations: Brookwood High School Hillcrest Middle School Holt High School Sipsey Valley High School Tuscaloosa County High School Times: Breakfast – 7:30 – 8:30 am Lunch – 11 am - Noon This press release was produced by the Tuscaloosa County Government.
