Description
So here's the story. We took in a stray that had a bunch of older, should-have-been-weened, puppies following her around. We tried to rescue some of the puppies for the purpose of finding them a home, but they were much too wild. However, the mother dog had obviously had an owner before, because once she got in the house and let us pet and feed her, she settled right in as a family member. 10 days later, she had puppies again. We kept what we could, and found homes for a couple of them.
Fast forward six months, and now we are moving out of state to be near family. All of the dogs we have need new homes, including this mama dog. Her name is Moira, and she would be content to be a lap dog forever. When she is not being harassed by her babies, she is calm and docile, and just wants lots of love.
We think she was owned an older gentlemen in the neighborhood that recently passed away. I am writing as the patriarch of our household, and I am the one she bonded with the most. Essentially, Moira is my dog. Or it would probably be better to say she chose me as her human.
I think Moira would bond very well with an older couple, or older individual that just needs a lap dog companion. She is very low maintenance, with a very high companion trait.
We are not currently asking a rehoming fee, but will not give her to just anyone. We will most likely ask for references, and will want to meet you before we commit to letting you take her home.
Interested parties can Email me through Craigslist to give me your contact information, and we will go from there.
