Position Requirements and Responsibilities ▪ High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred ▪ Class 5 Driver’s License ▪ 3-5 years’ experience in underground pipe laying, 2-4 years’ experience in road construction preferred ▪ Familiar with installation of water, sanitary and storm water sewer structures, and pipe systems ▪ Lay out pipe routes, following specifications or blueprints, and coordinating layouts with supervisor ▪ Cutting pipes to required lengths, assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction ▪ Alignment of pipe and excavation experience with utilities existing and new ▪ Check slopes for conformance and shoring requirements, using levels or lasers ▪ Connect pipe installation including seal joints, ductile iron pipe, PVC and more ▪ Tap and drill holes into pipes to introduce auxiliary lines or devices ▪ Cover pipes with earth or other materials ▪ Grade and level trench bases, using tamping machines and hand tools ▪ Promote, execute, and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, sub- ▪ contractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture, attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections ▪ Train and mentor others in pipe laying techniques ▪ Work with Safety Department to investigate damage, incidents or near misses in the worksite, and ensure proper procedures are carried out according to the Company’s Safety Program ▪ The employee may be exposed to working conditions that include working near loud, large heavy equipment and near moving mechanical parts ▪ This job requires working outdoors in inclement Colorado weather conditions, year-round ▪ Early start workdays, occasional night and weekend work required The above declarations are not intended to be an all-inclusive list of the duties and responsibilities of the job described.
