General Construction labor, Housing Rehab

Jobs

Toledo OH

Description

We are a crew of about 4 guys who rehab houses for an investor. We do it all and each week is a new adventure in the trades. Plaster repair, drywall, flooring, framing, light plumbing, light electrical, painting painting painting, bathrooms, and kitchens from stud's out, exterior painting, etc. There's not much we don't do. Looking for someone to fill one of our spots. 1099 position. You need some knowledge and experience in the trades, the more the better, but you don't have to be accomplished or know it all. A can do/can learn attitude, an aptitude to figure things out, and a little hustle, is more important. MOST IMPORTANT; YOU MUST BE TRUSTWORTHY, (STOP! Please read that last sentence several times!) In general, we work 7:30 - 3:30 each day, but can also be flexible. Life happens. No weekends. Having fun is just as important as getting the job done. YOU NEED; Your own basic tools, (battery pack power tools a big asset but not required. But they are fun toys.) Reliable transportation. (bus, car, moped, broom stick, transporter, wifey taxi, just be there) The ability to be on time. (your mom doesn't work here!) Leave the foul language at home (The boss is old fashioned. Humor him.) Ability to get along with the team, (in other words, "play nice") Have a rough past? I'm about second chances, (but not too hot on thirds) I know.... "how much?" Looks something like this; $15 an hour for someone who shows up on time, shows a little hustle, but has to ask which end of the paint gun sprays. $17 an hour for someone who shows up on time, shows some hustle, and knows how to use a paint gun without over spraying my tools. $20 an hour for someone who knows how to load the gun, use the gun, clean the gun, and is already moved on to laying floor before I can ask. You can make the same at Walmart, but we are a lot more fun and are flexible and you don't have to wear a blue vest. You can start as early as next working day. Interested? READ THIS CAREFULLY. If you respond without this information, it tells me up front you can't follow instructions, (or can't read. Either way it's not good.) Send me an email with the following 1. How many years of experience you have in what areas. (don't freak out if your list is not extensive. read above) 2. What do you consider yourself best at, (ie drywall, painting, electrical etc.) AND what are you clueless about? (women doesn't count, we all feel that way!) 3. What was your last job? 4. The number one reason you would be good for the team, (possessing a warehouse of Pringles that you are willing to share is a good reason) 5. Include your phone number and best time to call Ok. Waiting to hear from you. Shawn
