Lower Lights Christian Health Center is currently seeking GROCERY CLERK/CASHIER candidates for our Jubilee Market in the Franklinton area of (West) Columbus! Operating out of seven locations, we offer medical care (primary care, dental, vision, OB/GYN, telehealth), behavioral and psychiatric care, a low-cost pharmacy, nutritional assistance programs, and more. Working hours are Monday - Friday with occasional Saturday morning coverage.  POSITION SUMMARY: Working closely with the Grocery Store Manager to ensure the success of the store operations by delivering a great customer experience by providing attentive, friendly, knowledgeable service. Pricing, stocking, and rotating merchandise while maintaining a neat, clean and visually appealing store. To safely handle or prepare products including ready to eat food items for the salad bar; following store policies and procedures. Perform cashiering job duties or tasks relating to the point of sale system. Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs. and occasionally lifting up to 75lbs Ability to work in varying temperatures Ability to work with fresh, dried and or processed products, spices and powdered substances without negative allergic consequences Ability to tolerate dust and chemical or cleaning agents during routine housekeeping duties Ability to use a step stool or ladder to retrieve, or stock products from overhead racking, shelving, and storage areas Ability to operate/use equipment as needed for performing job duties; including but not limited to knives, scales, can opener, slicer, POS, utility carts, pallet jacks, safety cutters Ability to interact with customers in a friendly, efficient and helpful manner Ability to work cooperatively with others Ability to work all assigned work schedules and comply with all time and attendance policies Must be 18 years of age or older to operate or use equipment
