Landscape Groundskeeper Needed (Princeville, Hawaii) Ka’iulani of Princeville (KOP) is a high-end condominium development on the North Shore of Kauai. It is located on an 18-acre parcel in Queen Emma’s Bluff. The landscaping has always been well taken care of and manicured. We are now seeking to hire a full-time landscape groundskeeper to help assist with the community's ongoing needs. Job Description: Work outside and keep the entire property of the project in excellent physical condition. Assist with the daily projects as instructed by Association. Play a significant role in the service and continuing maintenance of the KOP landscape project. Learn and execute proper landscaping equipment, power tools, small machinery, and hand tools to carry out full-service installations and adequate handling of all materials. Execute strong attention to detail and personal integrity, including working with a team or independently. Each KOP employee has great attendance and a strong work ethic attitude. Individuals must be physically capable of a busy work pace on a regular basis. Duties: • Usage of all essential landscaping machinery and equipment • Keep machinery and tools in good working order • Ensures all work is completed in adherence to safety policies and guidelines • Observe organization of work and take necessary actions to ensure the highest quality • Must proficiently communicate with Management and coworkers Requirements: KOP requires a motivated individual with at least 3+ years of proven landscaping experience for this position. A strong candidate will be able to work well following instructions from Management and communicating with team members. The candidate should have a basic knowledge of shrubs, plants, trees, perennials, and landscape material, good communication skills, a clean-cut personality, and a willingness to work in a team environment. Have at least 2 or 3 good previous employment or character references and have a good attendance record, and be on time for work. Must be able to complete tasks expressed in the job description and be willing to participate in other activities as deemed necessary by Association Management. Compensation: • Very competitive based on experience & offering • Friendly team atmosphere and enjoyable environment • Start-up bonus of $2,000 (after successful pre-employment requirements are completed) • Health insurance along with paid time off (after a three-month probation period) • Candidate will be a subject to a pre-placement background screening and drug testing
