Sophisticated Swing Big Band of Redmond is back meeting on Friday afternoons 1-3p! We are looking for a pianist through the summer, early fall, or longer as mutual interest and Co-v allows. This is a 17 piece, classic dance band, with vocalist, that plays original charts and arrangements of swing, Latin, and popular tunes. Sometimes referred to as "The Friday Band" among the volunteer, retiree swing bands on the eastside, Sophisticated Swing was the house band of the Redmond Community Center playing monthly dances before it's tear down (groundbreaking June 2022).
