A celebration to Honor all the volunteers that have contributed their time in helping our community since the beginning of the pandemic. Enjoy some food and refreshments to celebrate this accomplishment! The Equity Center is a community recovery and social enterprise endeavor in the heart of Montgomery County serving particularly vulnerable and historically ignored communities in Montgomery County whose challenges have been exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic. Our Mission is to advance equity and justice, empower generosity, and improve the quality of life in the GMV (Gaithersburg/Montgomery Village). One of our food and ressource service is our large scale Grab&Go we’ve served approximately 250 to 300 families per event. All of these would not have been possible without the help of our volunteers that have braved cold, snow, heat, and most importantly the risk of exposure to COVID, to be present and serve our beloved community. This event will be our. way to say thank you and recognize their efforts , as well as to encourage more members of our county to participate in this collective efforts to help better ourcommunity.
