Disaster Relief Trials is a disaster drill in the form of a cargo bike challenge simulating a day 4 supply run for neighbors in need.
This year’s event, celebrating the 10th anniversary of Disaster Relief Trials (DRT), focuses on the specific assets and vulnerabilities of the Cully Neighborhood and coordinates with the local Neighborhood Emergency Team, disaster response volunteers trained by FEMA and Portland Bureau of Emergency Management.
We are now sanctioned by Oregon Bicycle Racing Association (OBRA)! Accordingly, participants are required to bring their OBRA license to the event or pay for a $5 one day license at the event.
Entry fees are used exclusively for relief cargo, most of which will be donated to resilience organizations directly after the event.
