Global Running Day with Seattle Running Collective
On Wednesday, June 1st we will be hosting the Seattle Running Collective for an evening focused on inclusivity and accessibility. We encourage runners, walkers, and movers of ALL abilities to join us at the Brooks Trailhead on Global Running Day for storytelling, a 2 mile run/walk and an opportunity to socialize, share snacks/refreshments, and meet members of local running groups throughout Seattle!
The evening schedule is as follows:
6:00 - Event Start!
6:05 - Welcome - Sharing the theme of the week and the Seattle Running Collective purpose.
6:10 - Storytelling - Two people sharing stories about why running is special.
6:20 - 2 Mile Walk/Run with pacers! (pace groups to range from 7 min/mi to 13 min/mi)
6:35 - Meet Your Local Running Group Tabling - Walk around and meet members from Seattle's running groups! (while enjoying snacks and refreshments!)
This evening is part of the Seattle Running Collective's Global Running Week! Which means attendance also gets you one stamp (or sticker) on your passport for the week, the person(s) with the highest number of Seattle Running Collective events attended throughout the week will be entered into a raffle to win free Brooks, Fleet Feet, and Oiselle prizes!
This is a FREE event, but please reserve a ticket to give us an idea of snacks/refreshments quantities to have on hand!
