The Black Press: Giving VoiceIn honor of the upcoming Juneteenth holiday, join Wichita Professional Communicators to learn about the development of the Black press in our region and its significance. Aleen J. Ratzlaff, Ph.D., professor of communications, teaches at Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kansas. She will share findings from her primary research, which has focused on the Black press and its role in community building on the Plains.Our monthly meeting will take place in person from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, at Larkspur Bistro & Bar. Ticket price includes buffet lunch and water, coffee or tea.
