If so, then this is event is for you! The event will include a presentation by the Director of Diversity and Inclusion who will cover the work that the CRC has done over the last year; facts about market opening, priority application designation and business development resources. Followed by a panel of expert industry leaders who will discuss how to apply for a license, start a business, join the cannabis workforce, become apart of the ancillary market and so much more! Wesley McWhite III, a native of New Jersey, is an advocate and community organizer; helping the voiceless find their voice in a world that has grown too noisy to listen. Throughout Wesley’s career, Wesley has worked as a Manager of a community food program in Trenton, Assistant of Operations of a 3,000-member Church and their Non-Profit Organization in Newark, Outreach Specialist to the Unhoused and Unsheltered in Camden, Development Director and Policy Manger for the the Hyacinth AIDS Foundation and currently serves as Governor Murphy’s appointment as the Director of Diversity and Inclusion for the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission. Brendon Robinson is the Co-Founder of 420NJEvents, a Black Owned Cannabis Lifestyle Brand that was Co-founded by two childhood friends who became brothers & built a lifelong bond that was predicated on two things. Cannabis and Loyalty. 420NJEvents was created to spread awareness & educate the community around the many benefits of the cannabis plant, as well as advocate for minorities impacted by the “War on Drugs”. 420NJEvents is designed to be a user friendly, thought provoking, informational superhighway that’ll keep audience informed, involved and inhaling! 420NJEvents promise to remain true to the culture, true to themselves and committed to pushing their community forward by bringing all elements of cannabis to the forefront! East Orange, New Jersey native Precious Osagie-Erese joined Roll Up Life in 2019 as the Chief Operations Officer after noticing the lack of minority representation in the cannabis industry. With a B.S. in journalism from Howard University and a M.S. degree from Columbia University, Precious uses her background in journalism, marketing and social media to grow the Roll Up Life brand. As COO, Precious oversees day-to-day operations of Roll Up Life and initiates strategic partnerships to scale the company. Precious also utilizes the Roll Up Life platform to advocate and educate community leaders and residents on the benefits of cannabis for medicinal use as well as the parallels between marijuana legalization and decriminalization. Prior to joining the cannabis industry, Precious served as communications manager for the City of East Orange under the leadership of Mayor Ted R. Green Leo Bridgewater Sr. was born and raised in Trenton NJ. He attended Trenton Central High School graduating in 1994. In 2001 Leo enlisted into the United States Army in response to the September 11 attacks in New York City and Washington DC. Leo is an Advisory Board Member for Cannabis World Conference Business Expo (CWCBE), and National Director of Veterans Outreach with Minorities 4 Medical Marijuana. Leo is Co-Founder of Cannagather NJ and has partnered with organizations like Coalition Medical Marijuana New Jersey, Women Grow, Drug Policy Alliance, The Americans Civil Liberties Union, Cannabis Cultural Association, the New Jersey Cannabis Industry Association, and NJ Cannabusiness Association. Leo has testified in NJ Senate Committee for bill S3195 The Taxation and regulation of cannabis for adult use. As a partner of Heart Community Capital and Co-host of the Smoke and Hero’s podcast. Leo hopes to be a vessel by which the industry works through in the state of New Jersey. “Hawaii” Mike Salman made a career influencing global brands across key consumer categories working with MOBB DEEP, THE SOURCE MAGAZINE, NIKE, REEBOK, MOUNTAIN DEW, as well as creating his own publication LTD MAGAZINE, co-founding Inked magazine and managing DJ Clark Kent, BMX Athlete Nigel Sylvester and photographer Jonathan Mannion. During his 30 year career, Cannabis has been right by his side, a connector to clients and friends, and something he is known for throughout the industry. Always one to follow his passions he’s now focused on commUNITY, culinary & culture through his company Chef For Higher and their Cannabis infused Supper Club Flights and Private Higher events for clients from the worlds of music, entertainment, sports and cannabis. He’s a nomad at heart who would be happiest traveling the world exploring local culture and food. But for the immediate future his flag is planted in NY to educate, empower and entertain his commUNITY on the benefits of cannabinoids, participate in the emerging Cannabis market and advocate for Federal AND Global legalization for access to plant medicines. Chant Blaze is an entrepreneur, hostess, cannabis connoisseur, and owner of Pure Magick LLC; a company dedicated to educating and consulting communities on the health benefits of cannabis as well as financial opportunities in the legalized market. Chant is most known for her work as a community spoken word artivist where she got chances to perform all over the U.S., England and Nigeria spreading messages of peace, love, unity, injustice and Cannabis.
