From Freedom to Equity Walk-A-Thon and Health Fair. Join the Black Doctors Consortium for our inaugural Next Step: From Freedom to Equity Walk-A-Thon and Health Fair. Next Step is a 1.9 mile Walk-A-Thon that will begin with welcome remarks from Dr. Ala Stanford, BDC Founder/CEO and local leaders at the Leon Sullivan Plaza (15th and Master). The walk will kick-off promptly at 8:30am and conclude at 11:00am at the Dr. Ala Stanford Center for Health Equity (2001 W. Lehigh Avenue) with a Health Fair (11am-4pm). After he Walk-A-Thon we will have African Story Teller, Dancer & Drummer Sister Mafalda along with The Joey Harrison Group group featuring Jerry Tate on keys, Nimrod Speaks on the bass, Khary Abdul Shaheed n drums, Yesseh Ali on Sax, Joey Harrison on percussion and 17 year singing sensation Gabby Green.
