Digging a trench for conduit

I believe this is a fairly straightforward project. I'm having an electrical conduit laid to connect a sub-panel in the back of my yard. The electrical company gave me a bid on trenching but informed me it was really really high because well they are an electrical company and don't do this kind of work. So I'm looking to hire someone else to do it for less. The trench is pretty much a straight shot down my driveway to the back of my yard. The trench needs to be 24" deep with a minimum width of 4". I am not looking for someone to come in with an excavator and rip up my driveway. A walk-behind trencher or a crew hand digging is preferred. The driveway is gravel, so I would like the top layer of gravel raked back so backfilling is easier and the driveway looks good once done. If you are interested, please respond with your total cost and when you can do it. The electrical company was confident they could get it in done in less than a day with a walk-behind trencher.
