NANUET, NY — Nanuet residents approved a 2022-23 school budget on Tuesday and re-elected two trustees to the Board of Education.
The $82.47 million proposed budget, which comes with a 0 percent hike in the school tax levy, was approved with 79 percent of the vote, district officials said on Facebook. The budget is a 4.36 percent spending increase over the current year.
Voters also overwhelmingly approved a proposition for a capital reserve fund for future projects, including a second artificial turf field at Nanuet Senior High School, with 78 percent voting "yes."
School board incumbents Adrienne D. Carey and Sue Frisch were elected to new terms.
