Pre-K training is for teachers who are new to Letterland. You will leave this training prepared to teach Pre-K Letterland lessons! Pre-K Session Learn how to use the Letterland Early Years Handbook and the instructional materials that come with the Letterland program. Essential resources for teaching the shapes & sounds of the alphabet. Learn the alphabet sounds & shapes, and develop their phonics skills in a fun way. Overview Pre-K - Introducing Letterland's child-friendly approach and demonstrating ideas for 'playing with sound while singing songs, listening to stories and playing games this session confirms that children learn through play. While focusing on providing activities and teaching ideas to encourage young learners' speaking and listening skills at the same time as introducing letter sounds and shapes this session introduces Letterland's child-friendly characters to Early Year practitioners. Onsite Training This training is face-to-face, please make sure you arrive at the location at least 15 mins before the session is due to start. Certificate & Hours Start time: 8:30am - 11:30am [EDT]Lunch break: 11:30am - 12:30pm. Afternoon session: 12:30pm - 3:30 pm. All attendees will receive a Letterland Certificate of Completion for 6 hours, after the course is completed. Please note that School districts have different requirements for hours, you should check with your district to ensure this will count towards your professional development hours.
