LAND O' LAKES, FL — A Pasco County high school teacher was arrested Tuesday after being accused of having sex with one of his students. The Pasco sheriff's office arrested Skyler Seidenberg, 30, after he was accused of having consensual intercourse with one of his students three times at his home. He's been charged with authority figure engaging in sexual conduct. Seidenberg is a social studies teacher at Sunlake High School. He has worked for the Pasco County School District since 2019. District officials said they immediately contacted law enforcement after learning of the accusation. Counseling was offered to the victims, according to the district. The sheriff's office said Seidenberg told deputies the victim was of age when the sexual encounters happened, but admitted he knew it was wrong. "Obviously, it's still probably illegal or whatever, or whatever is going to happen because I'm her teacher," Seidenberg told detectives. Seidenberg has been placed on administrative leave, and the principal of Sunlake High School notified all staff and parents of his arrest.
