Staff with Richland County's Neighborhood Improvement Program (NIP) will introduce residents to a resource for creating better communities. Staff with Richland County's Neighborhood Improvement Program (NIP) will introduce residents to a resource for creating better communities. The County's Neighborhood Plan Toolkit provides community leaders with detailed and easy-to-understand instructions on how to create a neighborhood plan. The interactive workbook helps communities create effective mission and vision statements, develop action plans, identify funding opportunities and overcome challenges while implementing neighborhood-scale improvement projects. At the workshop, NIP staff will guide and assist attendees in using the toolkit. Attendees will be able to develop and refine the visions and goals of their respective neighborhoods and turn them into actionable items.
