Description
BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA — A house in Bristol Township caught fire early Christmas morning as members of the family who lives there were wrapping gifts.
Firefighters were dispatched to the fire, on Geranium Road, at 1:13 a.m. Friday, according to Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito. He said members of the family were awake at the time, as they finished wrapping Christmas presents.
Trucks from Levittown Fire Company No. 2 were returning from another call when the fire was reported, according to Dippolito. He said they were able to respond quickly and contain the fire to one bedroom.
No one was injured in the fire, Dippolito said.
He determined the fire was caused when siding that had been blown off of the home got tangled up with electric wires between the home and the pole. That caused appliances in the home to be overcharged, according to the marshal.
