Beat the heat by Giving Back! Help families get access to fresh produce by distributing Produce Boxes with Market On The Move WHAT TO EXPECT: Kid Volunteers will help families in need get seasonal, fresh produce into their diets by handing out pre-packaged boxes of Organic Bananas, Tomatoes, Green and Yellow Bell Peppers, Acorn Squash, Spaghetti Squash + Strawberries! WHY IS THIS WORK IMPORTANT: This hands-on volunteer work will benefit Market On The Move. For a $10 donation, families are given up to 60 lbs of produce that would otherwise be tossed away! Since 2014, Market On The Move has "rescued" + redistributed over 30 million pounds of produce within Southern Arizona. As a result, many people have had access to fresh foods they may normally not be able to afford. KIND NOTES: Market On the Move is a DRIVE-THRU event. Kid Volunteers will be helping load produce into cars. Market On The Move is located between Swan + Columbus on the north side of the street, just east of Auto Zone. Snacks will be provided for all Volunteers. Please bring water to stay hydrated. It still gets hot in the mornings! Stay tuned for additional details to help you prepare for the day!
