Description

We are looking for pet lovers that are dedicated to helping pet parents in the event of an evacuation due to fire, flood or other disaster. During training, you will learn how to set up a shelter and operate one, check in pets at the shelter (paperwork), policy and procedures, basic care of animals, basic First Aid, how to recognize potential problems, safe animal handling, how to identify animal markings on pets, how to maintain cage cards, set-up kennel cages, how to approach strange dogs, cat behavior and warning signs, and much more.
