We welcomes you to attend Fun in the Sun at Wildlife Woods Park on Saturday, June 18, 2022 from 2-4pm. Come out and enjoy the music and fun. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Omega Epsilon Omega Chapter, Novi, Michigan welcomes you to attend our Fun in the Sun event at Wildlife Woods Park on Saturday, June 18, 2022 from 2-4pm. This is a joint event with Target II - Women's Health & Wellness and Target IV - The ARTS, bringing you music and fitness activities for individuals of every age range and activity level. The month of June is set aside to appreciate the contributions of African-American musicians, composers, singers, and songwriters in American culture. The month honors the history and rich African traditions that gave birth to different styles of music such as rap, hip-hop, jazz, rhythm and blues, barbershop, and swing. It is also the month to celebrate creative inspiration and appreciate the impact that African American music has had on generations of performers and music lovers. This is an open event, however COVID protocol must be followed. Attendees must be fully vaccinated to attend and provide proof of vaccination. Each attendee must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test, however, we are following CDC guidelines for children too young to receive vaccinations. Rapid, PCR and Home Test Kit testing are permitted and negative results must be provided within 72 hours of the event in hardcopy or shown on your mobile device. Masks are optional and you must complete and bring a signed copy of the questionnaire and waiver the day of the event. If you have any exposure at home or feel sick, please do not attend.
