Description

The Sixth Vesakha Day Celebration at the Temple! The holiest month for Buddhists is the month of May. The Buddha was born, enlightened, and passed into his final nirvana (Parinirvana) on the full moon day of the fifth month. At this event there will be: a Dhamma talk and teaching; a short meditation; chanting by a group of Temple members; a Temple member will give a short talk about their experience at the Temple; the Bathing the Baby Buddha statue. This is always a happy and joyful occasion for Buddhists and their friends. It’s a time for celebration, personal reflection and giving, and a time to enjoy family and friends. Food will be served, but feel free to bring some finger-food! And feel free to bring flowers for the Temple. All proceeds from the ticket sales will go to support the work of Bhante and to fund the Temple. Space is limited, so be sure to get a ticket. All are welcome.
