Glendale Man Arrested In Connection With Bank, Jewelry Store Robberies

GLENDALE, AZ —A Glendale man was arrested Tuesday in connection with the robberies of two banks and one jewelry store, FBI Phoenix has announced. Avery Lawrence Lowe, 30, was apprehended without incident at his Glendale home. He was arrested by officers from the Peoria Police Department with assistance from the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force, according to authorities. The FBI said Lowe faces multiple charges of robbery and armed robbery for his alleged connection to three separate robberies earlier this year: April 13, Bank of America ATM, 9260 West Northern Avenue in PeoriaApril 13, Chase Bank, 3241 West Indian School Road, PhoenixMay 6, Kay Jewelers, 7700 West Arrowhead Town Center, Glendale. The FBI said nobody was injured during the three robberies. According to the FBI, its violent crimes task force was created to provide a solid foundation to address violent crime in Phoenix and surrounding areas. "Today's arrest is a prime example of local and federal agencies working together to conduct seamless and coordinated investigations to help keep our communities safe," the FBI said in a statement on Tuesday. In addition to the Peoria Police Department, the FBI thanked the Phoenix Police Department, Glendale Police Department and Maricopa County Attorney's Office for their work that led to Tuesday's arrest. According to authorities, Lowe's case will be prosecuted through the Maricopa County Attorney's Office.
