On Saturday, May 21, for the twelfth year in a row, Sawyer Hill EcoVillage in Berlin will be celebrating the environmental holiday Give Your Stuff Away Day by, well, giving away stuff -- toys, clothes, books/media, housewares, furniture -- basically anything you might find at a multifamily yard sale, but all totally free! (Giveaway hours will be 9 am to 1 pm.) We lay out our free items at designated giveaway areas outdoors; items in other areas are not free to take. For rules and fine print, see. Because COVID rates are high in our area, we'll continue with pandemic rules to keep both visitors and residents safe. (Basically, wear a face mask -- yes, it's outdoors, but some spots can get crowded -- and maintain distancing from people not in your group.)
