Description
Unfortunately, I need to re-home one of our puppies and it's breaking my heart. I will be very careful about where he goes, I have had him since he was 5.5 weeks old, and I love him very much. For reference, I have a lot of experience with red heelers, and I do understand what bad habits they have naturally. Boy CANNOT go to a home with small children. We have 3 kids, ages 12 (he's autistic), 8, and 4. He does not like our 4-year-old and has nipped him in the face 3 times (2 times in the last 4 days) and it was completely unprovoked. Boy is 75% Red Heeler and 25% Pitbull. I got his dad at 10 weeks old, and he is 100% Red heeler and a great dog. His mom is 50% Red Heeler and 50% Pitbull. Boy was born on September 22, 2021, he will be 8 months old on May 22nd. He weighs about 35 pounds and is as big as his parents now. Please text if you are inte Due to his breeds, he is pretty high energy. Boy needs a lot of time outside and would be better in a fenced yard, although his recall is good. He also needs a ton of toys as he chews a lot. We currently use an invisible electric fence, and he learned the boundaries very quickly. Boy knows the following commands: come, sit, off, out, in, eat, easy, leave it, and we have been working on stay. Boy is kennel trained at night and for short periods that I am gone during the day. When I am home, he just wants to sit with me and cuddle. He is housebroken and lets you know he needs to go out by becoming overly friendly, in your face, and panting. Boy is good with cats and all other dogs that he's met, and we do go to the dog park multiple times a week. We have chickens and he is good with them through the fence but has never encountered them in the yard. Boy has had all of his shots and he was neutered in April. I will provide all of his paperwork. We have been feeding Boy Taste of The Wild salmon puppy since we brought him home. Boy is NOT leash trained. He does follow me accordingly and listens very well and hasn't been an issue for us. When he is on a leash, he just chews on it. To be clear, I DO NOT want to rehome Boy. My husband will not tolerate a dog biting his child regardless of any reason. I have no choice. There is a rehoming fee as I have taken excellent care of him and have records of everything. Please text if you are interested in Boy.
