Beware when buying vinyl windows. I was building windows and selling them for $300.00 an opening with 1" insulated glass, My tech was paid $75.00 per install of each window. Most companies are quoting by the hole, $1000.00 ea, now they want $2000.00 an opening. What a scam....your paying for their commercials and all overhead...you cant be reasonable doing that. >>Go to Menards and order windows and anyone can install them for 150.00 an opening, only takes 1 hour to install one or less. Vinyl windows without aluminum bars in the extrusions are bad, they will warp in sunlight and fade just like PVC fence. Check the companies arizona sun test field ratings. Thickness of extrusions and welded corners, and you dont want the tube springs to lift the window frame.....thet dont last. If a coil spring is used dont ever use WD40, it will crack the poly carbonate housing due to a chemical reation. Save thousands...............buy a good framed window at local stores. Private companies are gouging and getting rich at your expense.
