Description

Hi! I'm a singing cellist. I've toured internationally including London, Paris, and Berlin. I've also been written about in The Village Voice and been interviewed on WFMU. My songs are a little bit folky, and a little bit operatic acoustic metal. You can listen to my music at www.meanerpencil.bandcamp.com. I'm looking for some backing musicians to rehearse, record, and play shows this year. Instruments that have worked well with my music include clarinet, saxophone, keyboard, hammer dulcimer, violin, viola. This would be a good opportunity for someone who is new to the songwriting universe and would like to get their feet wet. I would ideally like to find people who have some classical music training since some of my songs have written parts. Looking for gentle, cooperative weirdos. This would not be a good fit for anyone who is very competitive or who can't take direction from a woman. I'm hoping for a lot of covid-safe outdoor performances this year assuming we don't get nuked by Russia. I met one of my favorite people of all time through a craigslist ad so don't hold back if you are tempted to respond.
