Pretty w/f looking for some mutually beneficial Monday fun.i am free to host all day.serious replies please... To me, the exciting thing about being a musician in 2022 is less the live space, and more the creative possibilities using the nearly infinite power of modern hardware/software. For the first time in history, we have access to virtually limitless CPU headroom and incredibly advanced software (I use Ableton, Cubase, and about 10,000 VSTs). Of course those match nicely with access to affordable state-of-the-art mics, amps, and audio interfaces. I'm a competent instrumentalist (trumpet, keys, vocals, guitar, drums), but I don't specialize in any one heavily. I don't feel a need to specialize because technology has altered the craft to where it's just not necessary. That said, I strongly believe in the fundamentals of great music: compelling lyrics, harmonies, melodies, good arrangements, and emotional expression). We also have accessible/affordable cinema-grade cameras and video editing software to create unprecedented audio/visual art. We no longer have to specialize in certain formats, instruments, genres, or technical titles. I'm not sure why people still do, given the limitless education available online to learn anything relatively quickly. I would love to talk with anyone who vibes with looking for classic rock 60's through the 90's and country pop band to play lead guitar. A solid group located in or near Lincoln NOTE: I realize this is not a new philosophy...the Beatles embraced it in the 60's to make some of the most innovative and imaginative music of all time. The only difference is that now we have so many more cutting edge creative tools...and no multi-million dollar studio/budget necessary!
