Meet Cheesesteak. He is a lovable puppy of unknown breed. We rescued him from the pound but, unfortunately, he does not get along with our cats and chickens. He does get along great with our dogs. He walks amazing on a leash, sleeps quietly in his kennel all night long, cuddles on the couch, is very warm, loves water in the tub and from the hose, loves toys, almost potty trained, calm when getting his nails clipped, loves to play, loves riding in cars, has the cutest snoring, interacts well with children that we've met while in town... I could go on. He is neutered, has had all vaccinations, and has almost recovered from mange that he had when he was seized from his previous home (two clean skin scrape tests). He seems smart and has learned to not jump up on people in just a few days. We've only had him 5 days and he is still learning that people aren't chew toys. He sits for his food bowl and follows you into the bathroom. The pound had him labeled as a sharpei blue heeler or Australian cattle dog mix. I don't think that is accurate. He has big feet and has almost tripled his weight since he was brought to the pound less than two months ago. He was 9 pounds and is now 26. He seems like he is about 4 months old. Comparing pictures online maybe great dane, catahoula leopard dog, boxer mix? We love him but don't want our cats to be miserable. His adoption fee was $140 and that's all we are asking for rehoming.
