GREAT NECK, NY — Demonstrators are expected to gather in Great Neck on Saturday in support of Asian-American communities. Local cultural groups will join students, teachers, and lawmakers who support expanding Asian-American history education in classrooms across New York State. The goal of the legislation is to stop Asian-American hate and violence. The "Stop Asian Hate with Education" rally, as it's dubbed, is hosted by New York State Sens. Anna Kaplan and John Liu, Assemblywoman Gina Sillitti, and U.S. Rep. Grace Meng. The event at Firefighters Park will kick off Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
