Join us in celebrating Global Beatles Day at the Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library On his 81st birthday, Vonnegut said, “What’s it like to be this old? I can’t parallel park worth a damn anymore. Please don’t watch when I try to do it. But no matter how bad things may get for me, the music will still be wonderful.” The music is still wonderful, and the Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library invites you to celebrate Global Beatles Day with free admission to the museum. Hear Beatles covers, enjoy 60s-themed refreshments, and discover why the world still loves Kurt, yeah, yeah. The Indianapolis local band, The Shake-Ups, will be performing on our balcony TIME TBD. The Shake Ups are an award-winning, Indianapolis-based power-pop band that specializes in hook-filled tunes and all-ages performances. A six-piece, co-ed group of veteran musicians, The Shake Ups have appeared at events across the U.S. Their energetic take on the music of the Fab Four places the melodies front and center, focusing on the Beatlemania years with a few extra surprises that ardent followers of the legendary moptops won't want to miss...
