(Grades 1 - 4) Ririko Oshiro
In this crafty camp, children will experience a variety of small projects designed to engage their interest and enthusiasm in creating things beautiful and useful for their daily life or the people they care for. Some of the projects are inspired by Japanese culture such as Japanese indigo dyeing, Japanese braid making, and Japanese boro stitches. They will also learn or practice wet-felting and basic sewing. They will enjoy outdoor free play, Japanese paper crafts and Japanese songs and stories during our breaks from handwork projects.
Please send a snack and lunch with your camper. Please pick up your child on time when camp ends or at the end of the selected aftercare option chosen.
