HOBOKEN, NJ — The City of Hoboken was awarded $967,580 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding, which will be allocated to various non-profits and public agencies in Hoboken.
The city will award the funds this summer to organizations that provide vital community services, as well as public facility rehabilitation projects. Recipients will be announced in the coming weeks.
"These Community Development Block Grants will help us uplift and support our non-profit community and those most in need," said Mayor Ravi Bhalla. "Thank you to Senator Bob Menendez, Senator Cory Booker, and Congressman Albio Sires for strongly advocating for these critical CDBG funds that I know will be well-utilized and improve the quality of life of our residents."
The $967,580 in CDBG funding for Hoboken is part of $177.8 million in federal funding, announced by Senator Menendez and Senator Booker, that will be utilized to revitalize communities across New Jersey.
