Press release from the City of Roanoke: May 12, 2022 ROANOKE, VA – Beginning on Sunday, May 15, 2022, Melrose Ave NW will be closed between 22nd St and 24th St. This closure is required to allow EC Pace Contractor access to the roadway to perform necessary construction activities associated with the Melrose Avenue Street Scape project. Traffic will detour via Loudon Ave NW. Please follow the established detour and plan for extended travel times. Melrose Ave is expected to re-open on the evening of Wednesday, May 18.
