NEW MILFORD, CT — The town's budget referendum passed overwhelmingly in a Tuesday vote, according to The Danbury News-Times. Turnout was low, with about 1,600 of the town's 17,500 registered voters coming out the polls.
The $67.8 million school budget passed by a count of 978 to 604. The $41.8 million town budget passed in a 1,059-519 vote. The $109.6 million budget increases spending by 4.28 percent, according to The Danbury News-Times.
