WATERBURY — A probate judge serving Naugatuck, Beacon Falls, Prospect and Middlebury was sentence to a year in jail Monday for three drunk-driving charges among other charges.
But 61-year-old Republican Probate Judge Peter Mariano served just four days for the charges after he pleaded guilty to two counts of operating under the influence as a first-time offender and second degree reckless endangerment in Waterbury Superior Court, according the to the Citizen's News publication.
According to the Citizen's News, Naugatuck police last year charged Mariano with three counts of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and driving with a suspended license.
