Ruby-Sue is a very clean and gentle, medium-sized, 3-yr-old house-dog who loves to go for walks in the park and generally stay close to her #1 human. She came to us a year and a half ago with a pretty notable separation-anxiety disorder, but she has improved 80% since she has been with us. Unfortunatly, from now on we will be gone more than we are at home, and Ruby definitely needs her humans HOME. Ruby loves her toys and has never destroyed anything. She does need to play [because of her breed] but she mostly just wants to lay beside her #1. Her anxiety disorder manifests in whining whenever she feels in despair about anything. Her whining is quite piercing and worsens if you yell at her, but goes away eventually if you sweet talk her and reassure her that she is loved and not alone. In the car, she whines and barks and shakes until you think your head will explode...but she will eventually stop. She is a sweet, beautiful girl who requires a home where she will rarely be left alone. At night, she sleeps in her bed beside ours, and she can't sleep unless she's covered up. We lay a beach towel over her, and she wakes us up about 4 times a night to cover her back up. Ruby does not get along with cats or larger dogs, but she loves kids. She is used to a quiet, organized environment. If you have lots of love and patience, she is the girl for you. She is spayed and up to date with all her shots. Please do not respond to this ad if you are not practically homebound, because she will not work out for you. Rehoming fee is $250.00.
