Berkot's Fundraiser for Veterans!! (New Lenox Location only) STARTS May 18th through May 31st Throughout the month of May we remember our Veterans' sacrifices, collecting Poppy Day donations to help our Veterans and their families throughout the year. If you shop at Berkot's in New Lenox on Laraway Road, please consider making a Poppy donation to the New Lenox American Legion Auxiliary Post 1977 (donations accepted at the checkout registers). 100% of your donations have helped the Auxiliary support the following and more: Wreaths Across America Wounded Warriors in Action Middle East Conflicts Memorial Wall Illinois State Veterans Homes in Manteno and LaSalle Prince Home in Manteno Fisher House K9s for Veterans The Forgotten Warrior Memorial Wall USO Children's Miracle Network Special Olympics National Poppy Day is May 27, 2022. The poppy is the internationally known and recognized symbol of the lives sacrificed in war and the hope that none died in vain.
