Reading over the summer is crucial for school success. Families with early learners (birth -3rd grade) are invited to join us at the next FREE Soar in 4 family literacy and play event at The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature. Families will tour the museum, participate in literacy and STEM challenges, learn new vocabulary and receive new books and materials to support literacy development at home. In addition families will meet out community partners and learn about available resources. Summer reading is critical for students to retain knowledge and skills learned in the previous school year. Students who don't read are at risk of falling behind their classmates. Come to the June 1st Soar in 4 event and have fun while supporting your child's literacy skills.
