Magic Swirling Ship: A Celebration of the Music of The Byrds When a handful of longtime friends and collaborators-- all veteran Shoals musicians-- find themselves rhapsodizing over drinks about their shared fetishization of 60's music... ...and the conversation turns to the mutually-adored canon of the Byrds, whose arc managed to heavily influence pop, folk, rock, country, and old time (often simultaneously)... ...and THEN those musicians realize they have among them a couple of 12-string electric guitars, a tambourine, and a practice space.... there's really only one logical thing that can follow, and it's called Magic Swirling Ship. Cody Gaisser and Rich Henderson blend their guitar/vox talents, assisted by multi-instrumentalist Jason Hall on harmonies and backed by the perennial rhythym section of Jason Briggs and Bryan Cabler.
