Mental Health Awareness for First Responders . Learn the Risk. This is a Free Event for all Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement and 911 Dispatchers This seminar defines Mental Illness, risk factors for firefighters and all first responders, the signs and symptoms to look out for in Fire Departments and other agencies and what to do if one of your members is showing these signs. Discussion will provide students with the tools to make their Departments aware of the needs of response personnel in dealing with and discussing behavior wellness issues. All First Responders (FIRE, LAW, EMS, 911) are welcome to attend. This is a FREE EVENT hosted by The First Responder Support Alliance (FRSA), a division of The Professional Fire Fighters of Albany (PFFA) - IAFF Local Union 5254. The PFFA is an organized group of Active Duty, Full time Suppression Firefighters of the Albany, Ga. Fire Department.
