Press release from the City of Rochester: May 17, 2022 The City of Rochester's International Plaza opened its 2022 season with a variety of new vendors. The marketplace with a Latin flavor features live music, shopping, and a variety of culturally inspired cuisine every Sunday, now through October 16. "We are very excited about the 2022 season at International Plaza," said Mayor Evans. "I encourage everyone to come and experience the outstanding music, exquisite shopping, and variety of food offerings in a fun, lively and family friendly atmosphere." New food vendors include El Fogón del Coquí, featuring Puerto Rican favorites such as pasteles and sancocho; Buddha's Burgers & Hots, featuring Italian sausages, hot chicken and steak sandwiches and more; New Generation Meats, offering diner-style cuisine; Delicious Sweet Sensation, offering sweet treats including churros, donuts, smoothies, frappes, and acai bowls. Visitors can shop for attire and special gifts from vendors that include: Troublemaker's Boutique for stylish, elevated basics; Perlas Boutique for a wide variety of clothing for men, women, and children, accessories, make-up, bags, shoes; Caribbean candies; and La'Sheys Luxurious Styles for a variety of accessories. New to the 2022 season is a partnership with the Ibero Business Center (IBC), the business development division of Ibero-American Action League, Inc. to provide International Market vendors with services such as business consulting, technical assistance, business courses/webinars, and business lending. "The marriage of business consulting with low-cost rent at the International Plaza creates the ideal business incubation launching pad right here on North Clinton Avenue," said Agustin Rodriguez, Senior Director of IBC. "The opportunity to vend at the International Plaza has increased my flow of business," said Karina Lopez, owner of Delicious Sweet Sensations. "I have managed to get so far with this awesome concept."
